“All people have a right to be free from violence where they live, work, and play.”
Senseless, preventable gun violence has brought pain and anguish to far too many folks here in our state– plain and simple, this is a public health epidemic that must be addressed.
I know that with freedom comes responsibility, and all people have a right to be free from violence where they live, work, and play. Keeping our children and families safe has always been a top priority of mine– responsible gun ownership is vital to ensuring that all Wisconsin residents have a safe environment to live and thrive in. It is well past time to hear the voices of the people of Wisconsin and take meaningful common sense action to prevent gun violence in our state.
As State Representative, I have a proven track record of taking bold and unapologetic stances, and working tirelessly to reduce gun violence and promote responsible gun ownership in our communities. I am proud to be the lead author on legislation to close the background check loophole in our state and to implement Extreme Risk Protection Orders to reduce mass shooting and suicide by firearm, as well as supporting many other policies for firearm reform.
In the State Senate, I will keep fighting to keep our families safe– Wisconsin deserves nothing less.
