“Workers’ rights are human rights, and Wisconsin must do more to lift up working people and ensure their ability to thrive in our state.”
Wisconsin is powered by the hardworking people of our state. I stand in solidarity with workers, and I have heard the voices of Wisconsin residents who know that our economy isn’t working for them. Workers’ rights are human rights, and Wisconsin must do more to lift up working people and ensure their ability to thrive in our state. Healthcare workers, teachers, firefighters, laborers, service workers, and so many others, are on the front-lines powering our communities and setting the foundation for our society to succeed. With these countless contributions, it is vital that our state take steps to protect and prioritize our Wisconsin workforce.
I have a proven track record of championing for workers, and ensuring their long-term success. Not only am I the lead author on legislation to create a living wage in Wisconsin, but I continue to be a champion for union rights, workplace safety, paid family & sick leave, and many other policies that support workers. I am proud to stand with Wisconsin workers and their families.
In the State Senate, I will continue to prioritize workers in our state and support policies that truly lift up working people and families across Wisconsin.
Raising the minimum wage helps to build an economy that works for all of us, not just the wealthy and powerful. It is far past time that our state’s workers are fairly compensated for their dedicated labor and time, so that they can provide for themselves & their families and achieve true financial security. It is as simple as this: an honest day’s work deserves an honest day’s pay. As a State Representative, I am proud to have authored legislation to create a living wage in Wisconsin.
In the State Senate, I will continue to side with Wisconsin’s workers.
Restoring Union Rights
Unions are true equalizers in our communities. Unions ensure the ability for workers to thrive and provide workers with a seat at the table, allowing all employees to be fairly represented and have the ability to have their voices be heard. Further, unions provide unparalleled opportunities for our state– they give individuals the network and training to learn crucial skills needed to enter into family-sustaining jobs in our state. I am proud to support union rights in our state. I have a proven track record of standing up for union rights in Wisconsin, and have worked diligently against the barrage of anti-worker policies that have been circulated in the State Legislature. I continue to fight for union rights, collective bargaining power, project labor agreements, prevailing wage, and more, for our Wisconsin workers.
In the State Senate, I pledge to continue to stand by Wisconsin's workers and their families.
